Here’s a Summary of What the Job Entails:
You will be responsible for the definition and the maintenance of the architecture of different data solutions (local and group level solutions).
- You will define the target architecture (TO-BE) that sets the direction for future projects and document the baseline architecture (AS-IS);
- You will define a long-term roadmap together with the domain architect and identify technical initiatives in order to put them on the PI planning;
- You will technically lead the Project architects and sometimes act as a Project architect as well. As a solution architect you must be able to define the architecture beyond the scope of projects and focus on the long term;
- You provide technical guidance and governance for the development of the solution architecture by implementation team;
- You will apply the architecture principles and guidelines as defined by enterprise/specialty architecture;
- You will actively participate in the (internal) architecture community and follow the technological evolutions in your domain. You will determine the guidelines and technology standards within the data domain;

You will be working at TPS, Mediahuis' International IT & data department. TPS is the engine behind the succes of the digital transformation and the growth of Mediahuis, today existing of 10 publishers in western Europe and still growing... Together with your colleagues, you will be responsible for an overall and long-term vision on various solutions and maintain the consistency of different technologies.

is important but is by no means the only thing we attach importance to. You like a challenge. You are sharp, proactive and dare to roll up your sleeves to drive things forward. In doing so, you always put the importance of cooperation, synergy and quality first.
However, we give priority to a proper attitude, we do expect you to have the right experience to make you feel excellent in your new role.
You have at least 3 years of experience in a similar solution architect role or have the necessary technical experience as a BI Engineer and are willing to take up the role as a solution architect;
- You can read and document architecture in C4 and UML
- You can read ArchiMate (and preferably also document the architecture in ArchiMate)
- You are familiar with: Microsoft products like SQL, SQL Server, PowerBI and Analysis Services, A cloud stack, preferably Azure (Synapse, Data Factories, DevOps with CI/CD, Data Mesh /Data-as-a-product and Data Stewards
