Your role includes.
You build and maintain a data foundation that makes all data sources available for dashboards, analyses and other information products
You play a central role in the design and alignment of ETL processes and data modelling
You take responsibility for the design and implementation of data warehouse components, including end‑to‑end data pipelines from source to end user
You collaborate closely with business users to gather reporting requirements and translate them into well‑modelled data structures
Together with the team, you safeguard data governance around BI products and align models and architecture at both local and group level.
You actively maintain and improve solutions in the Azure cloud
You enhance our Power BI environment through the creation of new semantic models
Your team is partly based in Antwerp, partly in Amsterdam. Therefore, your working location could be either Antwerp or Amsterdam, depending on your home residence. You’ll work 2 days a week on-site, combined with home office on the other days. We only expect you to travel to the other office once per quarter. Quick summary: say that our Antwerp office is more feasible for you, you’ll work 2 days a week at Linkeroever and travel once per quarter to Amsterdam.

To be successful in this role, you already have solid experience as a BI Engineer within an ETL‑BI / data warehouse environment. You have hands‑on knowledge of:
Azure Stack: Synapse, Data Lake, Serverless / Dedicated pools, Azure Storage, Pipelines, Data Factory, Spark pools, Key Vaults en security.
Azure Cloud-architectuur: Data Lake / Lakehouse.
CI/CD: Azure DevOps en Git.
T-SQL.
Power BI en het ontwikkelen van semantische modellen.
Root cause analysis.
Kennis van Microsoft Fabric en Databricks.
