At Mediahuis, data reliability and availability are essential. As a Junior DBA Engineer, you’ll play a vital role in maintaining and optimizing our databases, mainly MSSQL, but also Oracle and other systems. You’ll contribute to a secure, high-performing, and future-proof database environment within our Group Technology organization.

Working alongside experienced DBA colleagues, you’ll learn how to manage and safeguard critical data infrastructures that power our digital platforms across Europe. You’ll gain hands-on experience in monitoring, troubleshooting, and improving database systems, while gradually taking on more responsibility as your expertise grows.

Additionally, you…

• Support the daily management, maintenance, and optimization of our databases (Oracle & MSSQL).
• Learn to perform backups, restores, migrations, and performance checks.
• Contribute to database security through access control, audit tracking, and documentation.
• Analyze incidents, assist in problem resolution, and help improve operational processes.

• Fluency in Dutch or English, with knowledge of PowerShell or another scripting language as a plus.
